Nigeria’s Tosin Adeloye Banned For 8 Years By The IAAF

International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has banned 12 athletes  for drug offenses.

Unfortunately, one of the banned athletes is Tosin Adeloye who was handed an eight-year ban. Tosin Adeloye is a 20 year old Nigerian female athlete  who is a 400m runner. Tosin Adeloye took an in-competition test at the Warri Relays on July 24, 2015. The test result turned out positive.

The implication of this ban is that she won’t be able to professionally practice the sport from July 24, 2015 to July 23, 2023

Tosin Adeloye represented Nigeria at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing, She also flew the country’s flag at the 11th African Games (AG) in Brazzaville, Congo.
