Femi Lateef Adebayo is a Nigerian actor, play writer and producer. He is also a part-time lawyer. He dedicates most of his time to movie making and productions. Femi was born on December 31, 1972. He is presently aged 44. He was born into a polygamous family. His father, Adebayo Salami (also a prominent actor) had about 12 children. This movie star originates from Ilorin, Kwara State. Femi Adebayo began his acting career in 1995. The same year, he featured in a Tade Ogidan movie titled Owo Blow. He starred in various films in Nigeria, which had won him four awards as Best Yoruba Actor at the 17th African Film Awards popularly known as Afro Nollywood Awards at the Statford Town Hall in London. He has a long list of movies to his credit, which include Sonto Apala, Wura ati Fadaka, Buga just to mention a few. Today, Femi is the founder and CEO of the J-15 media network in Ibadan. It is a school founded with the aim of grooming students to becoming future actors/actresses and movie stars. From the school he has graduated over 150 students who are now performing excellently well in movie industry.


He attended the University of Ilorin in Ilorin where he obtained a Bachelors’ degree in Law and Masters of Arts (M. A) degree in Theatre Arts.

Femi Adebayo had many controversial moments that attracted different comments from various people. One was on the issue of his relationship. The formerly married actor, now alone parted ways with his spouse last year (2015). In an interview concerning the matter, he explained that a marriage was bound to last only if there are no breaches. ‘It is a contract’, he concluded, that it was cool the way he was. Shortly after this incident, there were rumors that Funke Akindele was responsible for Femi Adebayo’s marriage breach. Fans got involved, expressing their thoughts. Femi had to hold their mouths, he explained in a news report that it was not so.
