Synopsis:

The popular artiste Desmond Elliot, is one of the widely watched Nigerian Nollywood actor, film producer and recently a politician. He was born to a Yoruba father from Olowogbowo in Lagos Island, Lagos and a Mother from Illah in Oshimili North, Delta State. For this reason, he always describes himself as Pan African. He is  known by the full name Desmond Oluwasola Elliot. He was born on 4th of February 1974. Presently she is 42. He is presently married to Victoria Elliot and they have four children. He hopes to have more, for he once said in an interview that the polygamous life of his family had heightened his love for little kids. Desmond began his movie career through a friend who influenced him positively to become an actor. He started by playing role in soap operas and weekly Television shows such as Everyday People, One Too Much and Saints and Sinners. That was how he started his journey into the movie industry. Presently, he is among the Nigerian leading actors, having acted in more than two hundred movies, which has earned him awards of all kinds. Also, aside his movie career, Desmond has been competing to becoming the ambassador of the Face of Hope project, a volunteer based non-profit, Non-religious and politics-free organization established to give hope to the hopeless, open opportunities to the less privileged, in which he hopes to work towards eradicating child illiteracy in Nigeria and Africa at large. If only he emerges victorious, he no doubt has passion for politics. He contested in the Nigerian 2015 April Elections and was elected lawmaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Education:

Desmond acquired primary education at AirForce Primary School and later attended St. John’s College, both in Jos. In 2003, he graduated from Lagos State University where he studied Economics.

Controversies:

There were many controversies when his fans heard him to be on the verge of delving into politics. At a time, he was sharing some money among police officers in an election. This caused a lot of verbal attacks and counter-attacks from his fans and friends alike on twitter and other social media platforms. At another time, he was spotted having an illicit affair with two sisters known by the names, Roseline and Yvette Muere. According to one of Desmond’s friends, he had been secretly going out with the two sisters separately. This brought about controversies from all sides. Also, at the time of his electioneering campaign people who probably did not know the actor enough were surprised that Desmond was claiming being a Yoruba. Before then, the movie icon had always been regarded an easterner.
