Synopsis:

Performer, singer and songwriter, Debbie Rise was born in Kaduna State on the 20th. A multi-talented and brilliant guitarist, Debbie was originally named Oluwarise Deborah Ebun by parents. Interestingly, Debbie’s passion is not only for entertainment. She is also keenly interested in Sports and physical fitness. She is a football and Taekwondo fan and loves dancing too. In 2014, Debbie Rise shone at the popular Nigerian singing contest – the Nigeria Idol when she was declared 1st Runner-up. At the event, Debbie did not only wow the judges by her spectacular voice but she also charmed the audience with her multi-talented personality. She was able to sing, dance, rap, play guitar and what have you. It is this interesting fit she would later bring on to the keenly contested competition named the Big Brother Naija reality TV show in which she amazed everyone yet again with her talents. Though Debbie had been singing and performing prior to the show, it further helped boost her fame.

Debbie, during an interview with a popular news magazine, revealed of how her father later received her back after she sneaked out of home to audition for the 2017 BBA Naija show. When she got home, her father only smiled and told her: “I love you, my daughter.” Before this time her sneaking out of the house had almost torn the fabric of love that exists between her and her father.
