Biography of Angela Okorie
Nigerian actress, Angela Ijeoma Okorie, was born on August 17, 1984 in Cotonou, Republic of Benin. Currently, she is 33 years old. She is the third of five children. She hails from Ebonyi State, Ishiagu-Ivo Local Government Area. She grew up in Cotonou, relocated to Nigeria at 17.
In her teen, she was a chorister and member of the drama group in her church. Prior to her step to get into the movies, she worked a decade modelling for a soap company â€“ Orange Drugs Delta Soap. In 2009, she featured in her first movie, Sincerity, produced by Coruma International. The movie featured great artistes like Chigozie Atuanya, Nonso Diobi, Yemi Blaq and Oge Okoye.
She soon became popular after starring in the movie, The Holy Serpent. Her hope was substantiated by her sudden surge and speedy achievement in the movie industry. Angela also loves singing. She once talked about her prospect of becoming a gospel artist. According to her, she had lots of songs she had written and would soon release. She described music as a natural talent she was endowed with. She has a kind of stylish behavioural characteristics, which she imitated from models she admired. She had always been a fan of Genevieve Nnaji. Angela opined that stars are not made by nudity in movies and she would never indulge in scenes depicting immorality. In an interview, she stated that her mother kicked against her acting idea.
Angela Okorie also attaches reasons to cultural ethnicity for being moderate in her dressings.
In January 2014, it was reported that she had appeared in about 80 movies. As at January, it increased by 20, making up about 100 movies she has so far featured in. The Vanguard affirmed her as a talented Nollywood actress. The Nation Newspaper also noted her for excellent and skilful interpretation of roles. Angela is married to Chukwuma Orizu. They have a son named Chamberlain. Both are happy and enjoying matrimonial life.
Education: She studied theatre arts at the University of Lagos. She also graduated from Lagos State University with a degree in Public Administration.

Recently, it was rumoured she had a broken marriage. She clarified that it was a flaming lie.
Angela supported the movement of the man of God, Apostle Johnson Suileman, stating that he has views which akin to life situations. Outstandingly, she constantly shared her disdain for lesbianism, which is extensively portrayed in most movies by modern actresses of our time. She called it “a sin uncalled for”. Also, from her natural and religious standpoint to her cultural beliefs, she happens to be one who does the right things in spite of people’s utterances.
