Synopsis:

Toyin Sokefun is a Nigerian singer, photographer and philanthropist. She was born on the 14th of January (Year Uncertain). She was born in Ogun State, Nigeria. Prior to starting her music career, she worked as a photographer and practiced journalism. She was an official photographer to former president Goodluck Jonathan during his reign in office. Early years of her music career was significant as member of a famous Nigerian gospel band, Kush. The group includes other artistes such as Emem Emma, Lara George, Dapo Torimiro and other great singers. Toyin is also involved in the running of an NGO. She runs Link-a-Child, an NGO aimed at sponsoring orphans across Nigeria. TY Bello is blessed with flowing lyrics, which touch the heart. Her music is no doubt a huge success, as she has received prominent awards for her efforts.

TY Bello was the miraculous game changer for the bread seller turned model, Olajumoke Orisanya. A recent story where she photographed Olajumoke Orisanya, and modellers got interested at the view. That was the change of story for the bread hawker. To many, it was an awful way of helping the needy out of poverty. But to many others, it was a miracle. There are some people, however, who regard the story as a hoax. All in all, some media heavyweight commended Bello for her efforts at changing the lives of people.
