Tekno Miles’s Biography



Tekno as he is fondly called by fans and admirers alike is originally named Augustine Miles Kelechi. Born in Bauchi, Bauchi State on 17 December 1992, a descent from Ebonyi State, Tekno had lived in several parts of northern Nigeria such as Nassarawa, Kaduna and Abuja. This is not surprising as his father who was always transferred from one part of Nigeria to another was a soldier. Growing up, he was passionate about music and wanted to be a musician. So he was enrolled in a music school where he learnt guitar and several other music instruments at the tender age of 8. Tecno’s music career took a new dimension when he signed into K-money Entertainment under which he realised ‘Holiday’ his first single. Afterwards, at a show during the performance of one of his hit songs ‘Onye Ne Kwu’, the young songwriter and musician was discovered by the popular comedian Julius Agwu who was fascinated by Tekno’s brilliant performance for which he received a loud standing ovation. It was there he also met Ubi Franklyn, Manager of Made Men Music Group. Under the record label, he released songs like ‘Dance’, ‘Anything’ and later ‘Duro’ featuring popular music artistes the likes of Phyno, Flavour and Davido. This was from 2013 to 2015. Since then, Tekno has become a well-known artiste, performing at shows, music festivals and events. Most of his songs have been played many times on airwaves. He has received several nominations and has won an award for his songs.

Tekno came under attacks after posting series of pictures involving him and a Tanzanian fan. It was alleged that the said pictures which went viral on social media showed him in very intimate contact with the lady. However, the intriguing aspect of the story was that shortly after the pictures spread online, Tanzanians started to wish Tekno with RIP, Rest In Peace. It was said that any man the woman, whose social media profile read ‘gigi_money’ sexually related with ended up dead. Having read the series of verbal attacks composed in a language other than English, after they have been translated, he apologized for posing with the lady.
