Currently an undergraduate at the department of Linguistics at the University of Lagos, Lil Kesh is fast rising singer, rapper and songwriter. He was born on 14 March 1995 in Bariga, Lagos State. His real name is Keshinro Ololade. Growing up in Bariga, he was always around his peers dancing and rapping in freestyle. Very skilled in the act of code mixing in his mother tongue and English in his songs, he reminds one of Olamide Baddo, another popular rap artiste. Releasing ‘Lyrically’ and ‘Shoki’ was the magic wand he would manipulate to gain more fame winning the hearts of many university students who so love the songs majority of them know it by heart. That is to be the beginning of Lil Kesh’s professional career in music. Most of his songs in which he featured popular artistes like Olamide, Iyanya, Cynthia Morgan and many more, have enjoyed a great deal of airplays in major Nigerian radio stations. His songs have been nominated twice for prestigious awards but he is yet to win any.

In an interview with Rave of the Moment, Lil Kesh was asked how he felt regarding what people said about his using vulgar language in his songs, he responded that his music is positive; using some slang did not mean he was vulgar. As with other singers, he wanted to create his own niche. He added that he was from the streets and so it was natural that his music should reflect language that resonates with his audience who are majorly people from the street. In addition, in the 2015 edition of The Headies Awards in which Lil Kesh was nominated Next Rated Artiste against another artiste Reekado Banks. Reekado Banks was declared winner, beating Lil Kesh, Olamide being from YBNL engaged in war of words with Don Jazzy. This soon became a long talk among music lovers.
