D’banj’s Biography

A top Nigerian musician and songwriter, D’banj was born Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo on 9 June 1980 in Zaria, Kaduna State. His stagename D’banj is derived from his name, the ‘D’ in Daniel and ‘banj’ in Oyebanjo. His mother was a reputable member of the church while his father was a military officer. His father’s constant travels due to the nature of his work affected D’banj as he was also moving from one part of the country to another before he later relocated to England.
