Burna Boy’s Biography



Born Daminu Ogulu on 2 July, 1991 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Burna Boy is a popular Nigerian music artiste. Growing up in Ahoada area of Rivers State, Borna was a very talented boy with a unique voice with which he always captivated his peers. Some years later, Daminu moved to Lagos with his family. In Lagos, he took his musical talent so seriously that in May 2012 he brokeout with hit single titled ‘Like to Party’. This soon jolted the pop singer to stardom. Since then, he has released several hit singles and albums that have been nominated awarded across Africa. He is credited for resuscitating the nearly extinct music dance style known as galala popularised by the Nigerian famous musician Daddy Showky. Today, Burna Boy is a force to be reckoned with in the Nigerian music industry.

On 16 May, 2016, Burna Boy released a video in which he was mocking a lady called Uju Stella. Recently, the young lady claimed the artiste burgled her room and raped her. The video is Burna Boy’s reaction to her claim that she is pregnant for him. However, the music artiste debunked Stella’s claim saying that he only had a single round of sex with her. Before this time, the girl had said that Burna Boy was threatening her and that he broke into her room.
