Olawale Olofo’ro popularly known with the stagename Brymo, is an award-winning Nigerian music artiste and songwriter. Born on the 9 of May, 1986 in Ojo, Lagos State, he was a multitalented kid who could sing and write song that would wow teeming crowd that often gathered to listen to his songs. That was only when he was still young. Little wonder that at the age of 14, he already knew he was made for music. So this he pursued so passionately that today Brymo is now being celebrated as a music icon. Never mind that Olawale’s music career was widely supported by his loving father who saw a promising future for his son in music. Growing up in Okokomaiko part of Lagos, Olawale was passionate about football and wanted to become a footballer. His left legs usually did wonders on the pitch so much that he had won an appreciable number of fans unto himself. A further proof that young Olawale was so daring and bold about his passion to pursue his music career is his forming a three-member group called Aliens. At the time, he was still in secondary school. As the group’s songwriter, he wrote about 85 songs. After releasing their first single, which was not successful, financially, each member of the group split because each needed to pursue his education. Not long after this, the indefatigable Brymo sought the help of a talent spotter in his neighborhood who helped him release his solo debut album titled Brymstone. That was in 2005. Three years later, Brymo stormed the Nigerian music industry with his hit single titled ‘Shawdy’. This went on to become number 2 on the renowned MTV Base Africa’s Top Ten Countdown. Afterwards the song was nominated for the Soundcity Music Video Awards. He has featured in his songs several notable Nigerian musicians such as Asa, Femi Kuti, 2face Idibia and many more. The Ara master has won many notable awards.

At the completion of his primary education at Aganju Aka Primary School in 1997-2003, he attended Ajangbadi High School for his secondary education. He later went to the Lagos State University where he studied Zoology. Brymo did not finish his education at LASU owing to financial incapability.

In April 25, 2016, Brymo announced the launch of his forthcoming album. But what is shocking and controversial about this is the title and the cover image of the album. Apart from naming the album KLITORIS, the image is that of an almost naked woman whose body is exposed from neck to hips save for the breast which were also barely covered with something that looks like flowers. The face is masked with the head with a horn. In reaction to this controversial album title, fans of the music artiste had taken to the social media lashing out on him. Interestingly, joining them is Olamide Baddo, the popular rapper, who posted on twitter humorously wondering how a title of such nature would survive the current trends in the Nigeria music industry.
