Asa’s Biography
Synopsis:
Bukola Elemide was born in Paris, France by Nigerian parents on the 17th of September, 1982. Her family returned to Nigeria when she was two. She later returned to Paris twenty years later where her life as an artist kicked off. She was the only female child in her family and she had three brothers. She was inspired musically by the likes of Erykah Badu, D’Angelo, Raphael Saadiq, Lauryn Hill, Femi Kuti, Angelique Kidjo, Mavin Gaye, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Arethan Franklin, King Sunny ade, Ebenezer obey and Lagbaja. She met her manager in 2004 who then introduced her to Cobhams Asuquo. Cobhams later became her musical partner and producer.

She attended Peter King’s Music School where she learnt guitar.
