9ice’ Biography
Alexander Ajifolajifaola was born on the 17th of January, 1980. He hailed from Ogbomoso, Oyo state but grew up in Bariga, Lagos state. After his first demo, he joined ‘Mysterious Boys’ group and did a couple of tracks with them before he formed his group- ‘Abinibi.’ His music started receiving recognition in the Nigeria music market in 2005. He is known for the use of Yoruba language in his songs. He mixes his songs with Yoruba proverbs. He grew up in a polygamous family that comprise five wives and nine children. His style of music was inspired by his grandmother who, according to him, makes use of proverb to drive home her points.
The genres of his music are hip Hop and World fusion.
He attended Abule Okuta Primary School. He then attended CMS Grammar School and enrolled to study Law at Lagos State University. He later dropped out to concentrate on his music career.
