Slim Burna’s Biography
Gabriel Soprinye Halliday, popularly known by the stagename Slim Burna, is a Nigerian musician, singer, and rapper. Born on 11th April 1998, he is 28 years old. He grew up in PortHarcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. Burna was born to a Bonny Father by the name Ezekiel Tamuno. He works as the general manager of NTA Port Harcourt and was one time a Commissioner of works in Rivers State. His mother was a businessperson named Patience Rizi Halliday. His growing up in a music–loving home made him listen to songs from artistes like Tracy, Chapman, BoyzIIMen, Micheal Jackson, Keith Sweat and a couple of others. For him music is fascinatingly soothing. Then he began to develop interest in songs from artistes like 2pac, Bone Thugs, Harmony, DMX, Eminem, Cypress, Ruff Ryders and many more. As a lover of music, while in school, Slim formed a rap group which was actively involved in several Rap contests in Port Harcourt. Burna started his music career initially as a record producer for Grafton Records. He became relevant at the release of his different version of the song, ‘Oyoyo’, originally produced by J Martins.

Speaking in an interview with the Vanguard newspaper in August 2013, Slim denied having any relationship apart from friendship with the famous actress, Alex Lopez. It was rumored that they were hooked up. Read below his reaction in quote: “I really don’t get why people spread such false rumors. This was obviously made up by someone who don’t have anything better to do. Please I’m not dating or hooking up with any singer. The young man is only a friend and nothing more than that. We just met and he greeted me then we took a pic together that is all.”
