Synopsis:

Originally named Nneka Lucia Egbuna by parents, Nneka as she is popularly called, is a top Nigerian musical artiste and songwriter. She was born on 24 December 1980. She hails from Warri, Delta State. She has demonstrated passion for music for a very long time. Nneka has been around for a while working and recording music with the likes of DJ Farhot, a popular beat maker and producer. Since 2004, Nneka has been performing on stage; her first stage act was opening performance for superstar reggae artiste, Sean Paul. The music artiste who sings solely in Igbo and English released her first album titled Victim of Truth in 2005. For some time, Nneka lived in Western Europe where she played and recorded great songs, which brought her fame and recognition. After the release of her debut, Nneka became popular touring France, Italy and Portugal for festivals and musical shows. She was playing alongside internationally acclaimed music icons like Akon. In 2010, Nneka recorded a theme song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. She had performed at a concert where other notable American music stars like Mary J Blige and Rihanna had also performed at the 2010 Lillith Fair Concert.
