Genevieve Nanji’ Biography
Genevieve Nanji is a reputable Nollywood actress. She was born in Imo on 3 May 1979 to an engineer father (also a retired banker) and a nursery school teacher mother. The 4th of 8 siblings, her talent in acting had been long discovered at the tender age of 8. Then she was featuring in soap operas, one of which was the popular Ripples. In 1998, she starred in a bluckbluster film titled Most Wanted. She was only 18. That was when Genevieve started to get noticed by the bigwigs in the Nigeria films industry. She has since featured in more than 80 Nollywood films, most times playing a lead role. Nnaji has won several awards and honorable mentions across the globe most prominent of which is the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (OFR) bagged in 2011. She is regarded as one of the richest Nigerian actresses. Aside from acting and filmaking, Genevieve is also a good singer and a ravishing model.
After completing her secondary education at the Methodist Girls College Yaba, Lagos, Genevieve proceeded to the University of Lagos, Lagos where she studied Creative Arts.

When Yes Magazine interviewed Genevieve about her life and career and the male colleague she most admired, the actress denied ever relaying any information to the press about whom she secretly admired in the movie industry. Sometimes later, the popular actress came out in the open to deny ever granting an interview to the editor of Yes Magazine, Azuh Arinze whom, it was claimed, interviewed her. It was said that her reaction was due to what she had said in the interview about the fact that she was tripping for one of the popular actors. She came on twitter denying having such interview with the magazine. For this act, she received several online punches from her teeming fans on different social media platforms.
